Project #Tardigram
Setting up a darkroom is something I’ve wanted to do for nearly 25 years. It’s never been a priority, for some reason. Or it’s been too impractical. Or I’ve thought it was too impractical. Turns out it isn’t as difficult as you might think.
With all the photographs I was now able to print, I figured I should do something interesting. Something that would make me happy, but maybe also make other people happy. The idea of something completely opposite to Instagram came to mind, and I really enjoy it.
It brings joy.
Below, are two maps, the left is of all the approximate unique locations that I’ve sent a #tardigram postcard to (I’ve sent more than one to Melbourne, but I’m not going to drop a pin in each suburb). On the right, is everywhere I’ve received a postcard from (or know one is inbound).
If you would like a postcard, please drop me a line karloskar (at) karloskar (dot) org, and let me know what your postal address is, and one will get popped in the post for you soon. You can also DM me on Twitter – I’m @techoglot, or get in touch on Mastodon. I’m @TechnicalKO@aus.social.
